Executive / Assistant Manager (Words Go Round: July 2017 – April 2018)

  • Propose, invite and liaise with writers
  • Assist with curating school programmes for students and teachers, as well as youth-related events for the public
  • Draft and edit programme titles and write-ups
  • Liaise with venue and programme partners
  • Apply for Tote Board funding via NAC-AEP for all WGR programmes
  • Source for WGR key visual
  • Liaise with designer to develop programme booklet layout, EDMs etc.
  • Liaise with copy-editors and translators for Chinese, Malay, and Tamil programmes
  • Create marketing plan for WGR (with Marketing team)
  • Proof-read and edit programme booklet (with Marketing team)
  • Send regular EDMs based on a schedule
  • Update schools database post-WGR
  • Assist with travel arrangements for international writers
  • Manage bookings and author scheduling
  • Manage manpower and deployment of SWF staff during WGR
  • Assist with payments and invoices post-WGR
  • Assist with SWF duties, where necessary
  • Polytechnic Diploma or Degree Holders
  • Work experience in relevant fields (education, curriculum planning or event management) or with backgrounds in literature will also be considered
  • Keen eye for details
  • Good interpersonal, written and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Proficiency in Chinese, Malay or Tamil is a bonus
